![]() ![]() They want you to wrongly believe that the individual who was deranged enough to commit the initial crime of breaking into your abode really has no intent to harm you personally he only wants your property - so you really shouldnt harm him either. The victim needs only to know that criminals are evil and if they can break one law they can sure break another, even taking your life. Realistically, a law-abiding citizen has no understanding of whats going through the mind of an intruder and really has no obligation to. Dropping your defenses puts the one on offense at the supreme advantage. Those seconds or minutes associated with having to hide from a criminal can be the difference-maker for the physical safety, sexual safety, or even life itself of the person whose home or apartment has been invaded. The fact that the attacked cannot draw an arm until the situation has reached its critical mass is utterly absurd. Such laws put all the power into the hands of the thug and strip the victim of natural rights which include the ability to survive. The homeowner must at first resort to cowardice by seeking retreat and then the situation must escalate to the point that the courts see "reasonable" belief that injury and death could occur and then, and only then, can the resident take up the measures necessary to suppress the attacker. Basically, the clause demands that the victim forgo acts of survival by not reacting immediately to the intruders intent to harm. Even though the perp obviously does not have your best interests in mind, you must afford him a considerable level of respect and safety with your "duty to retreat".ĭuty to retreat laws (or standard-setting court rulings) require that the homeowner prior to exerting any sort of force, deadly or otherwise, must do everything in his or her power to avoid conflict. ![]() In the majority of the states New York included - you cannot use deadly force to protect yourself, your family or your property unless you make some accommodations for the invader. It does seem to have merit when one considers the preferential treatment given to lawbreakers. Mythical sensationalism it may be, but like most legends it has some basis in fact and to some extent many believe it to be sound advice. PROTECTING YOUR CASTLE WITH FORCE By Bob ConferĪ common urban legend says that if you shoot an intruder in your home you had better put a knife in his hand to reinforce your claim of self-defense. Here's a recent column of mine addressing the need for the Castle Doctrine in New York State:įrom the 07 January 2008 Lockport Union Sun and Journal (Lockport, NY) So far, without the cheat, I'm on stage 32 and it's easy.Skip to comments. ![]() I got all the cash I wanted, purchased all the buildings, and upgraded my castle's HP to about 150k, BUT it started me on level 311 and it doesn't start you with enough converts to repel the amount of guys coming at you. You get lots of cash, but it jumps you up 10 levels each time. Otherwise, you'll lose them at the end of that level. You must start each level with enough spendable points to support the amount of units you are starting that level with. Losing units at the end of a level is directly related to how many SPENDABLE POINTS you STARTED that level with, not how many you ended with. When you have some spare converts, drop 5 into craftsmen and that will be a good start on that. Just upgrade your castle to have some more HP and you should be good to go. Get about 30 archers and 15-20 wizards as quickly as you can and use the explosion spell to kill the giants along with a bunch of the little guys while the archers kill more. I would skip craftsmen for a little while, but you have to be aggressive with your killing if you do that. After you've purchased a building, you click on it's respective flag and one of your converts will become that type of unit.Īfter you have enough wizards (I think it's somewhere between 15 and 20) you will get an INSTANT conversion spell so you can drop someone in your castle to convert them AND you can convert other people with the spell while they're running towards your castle as long as your mana holds up. When you convert enemies, they will show up as blue stick figures under the health of your castle. To train units, you have to first purchase a temple (to convert enemies) and then the respective building for each unit. Okay, to cover a few points mentioned by a few people: ![]()
